I'll admit, I do most of my searching here and under this filter on AO3 because, well, I have biases *gasp* I don't care for short reads aka 'drabbles' which somehow stretch to a thousand words and I really dislike being tricked into (i.e. not reading through a bazillion tags) reading unfinished work (Chapters listed as 1/? earn my unearned ire), but la vie est trop courte, anyone writing more than half a million words is just showing off.

I also fall back on sgastoryfinders.livejournal.com because they are looking for stuff I'm looking for; DanceswithGary's fic reccs on DreamWidth and squidge's Giant Fic List at https://www.squidge.org/GiantMcShepAUList/, but who knows when that was last updated... it's just so... GIANT!

I don't like WIPs myself, although if they're written by an author I like, I might subscribe to them and if they end up getting finished, I'll read them then.

I don't post WIPs at all (except for Rough Trade because that's how the challenge is structured).

I know! I totally get that, which is why I filter them away so I won't be tempted because I am SO tempted when I see an author I adore posting, only go think *GAIK* when I hit the end which is not the end. I'm always tempted, but worse, sometimes I just click the link without looking at anything else, making the surprise extra special.

I like peeking at Rough Trade too. Desperate Times, you know?

I've migrated to Dreamwidth so I can worship my authors without paying rubles for the privlege. I'm teridawn over there. I think I may have already added you to my 'circle'. Pretty sure you started this. 😊

btw it's supremely easy to import all your LJ postings, tags, comments, friends groups, and icons over to DW. just log into dreamwidth and go to the importer link: https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/importer click the LiveJournal checkbox and type in your username and pw on lj. then on the next screen select what you want to import. Then click start import. It doesn't happen immediately, it takes a while to grind through, but you'll get an email when it's done. I highly recommend!
