teridawn Apparently, it's been 20 years since I created my account over on Livejournal. I might be impressed with myself if I wasn't just lucky my account wasn't deleted during one of those year long hiatus'.
I'm currently reading, or should I say: rereading, Red Rising by Pierce Brown. It's a wildly entertaining story about the colonization of Mars and how much humans suck! Reminiscent of the Hunger Games anthology, except with a much wider (and bloodier) scope.
After a 4 year hiatus, the Red Rising saga continues in the 6th book, Lightbringer, pub. date 7/25/2023. So naturally, I'm primed for a series reread to refresh my memory of the story so far. 5 novels in 20 days, it's a lark in the park, especially with such compelling stories with electrifying characters and a plot line that literally explodes, galactically.
Thanks also tolaceymcbain , who delivered me a virtual gift back in December that I didn't get an opportunity to enjoy back at Christmastime. Now I have a cookie craving! Thanks, Lace!
